The History of the Ponca City Area Chamber of Commerce stems back to the year 1894. It began as the Commercial Club and was organized to advance the interests of commerce during the big business boom, resulting from gas, oil, industry and real estate. On November 8, 1974, the Commercial Club was incorporated as the Ponca City Chamber of Commerce and was incorporated as the Ponca City Area Chamber of Commerce in 1985.
